
SMART Supervisory Management
Today, organisations must pay close attention to the performance of the workforce as they struggle to be competitive in constantly changing markets and circumstances. The structure of organisations, the nature of the work they do and the people they employ have all changed dramatically over the past few decades—and so has the nature of the performance that must be managed.
Performance planning by supervisor and review should be part of a total approach to the employee productivity. Employees must be able to see how their work contributes to the achievement of the organisation’s overall goals; how they are managed should encourage them to want to make a better contribution; they should be helped to develop their skills and talents so that they can improve their contributions; and those contributions should be recognised and rewarded in ways that make employees feel good about themselves, their jobs and their employer.
The whole responsibility to plan, organize, review the performance and coaching falls in the hands of the supervisor who handles the daily activities. This training would guide participant to develop an attitude that will have tremendous impact on themselves and their people as a SMART Supervisor.
